What’s a mother and daughter to do during the Coronavirus “Stay at Home” order? We get in the studio and photograph, of course!
With our quarantine hair and some new spring 2020 Cabi clothes in hand, we headed out to my Brighton studio to capture a few different looks.
My friend Robin is my Cabi consultant and every spring and every fall, I select some fun items of clothing from the Cabi collection. [Oh, and by the way, I do NOT get any kickback from posting this!]. Before I forget, you can catch the current collection on her website here.
I usually think of Cabi as clothing that I like, as a middle aged woman! But Cabi has some adorable items that would be perfect for senior portraits also!
This cute Fiesta Poncho could work for a personal brand session for an entrepreneur who likes a bit of boho – or it could work for a high school senior portrait session. Lauren looked cuter in it than I did, so she’s the one sporting this:
One of my favorite purchases this spring is this beautiful Serenity Tee. Cabi puts out some version of this every season and I swear I get one most times! The fabric is SO soft. This lavender color is springy and again, just so soft and comfy. I’m wearing the Serenity Tee with the Butterfly Skinnies here:
This Gather Blouse in a trending yellow blend is SO CUTE! But the problem with me wearing it is that I’m just not a boho type of girl. I love it on others, but my personal brand is built more around classic looks. So, I’m showcasing Lauren wearing it and I just adore this look on her!
Finally, this fun and classic Poem Cami is something that I plan to wear a lot this summer. Its navy base and red detail is really adaptable to about any occasion. I’m showing the back so you can see how cute it is from behind, too. I’m wearing it with an older Ann Taylor cardigan:
For my personal branding ladies and other entrepreneurs – look for pieces in your branding colors. The lavender Serenity Tee above is so pretty, it almost made me want to add this color into my branding palette! Ha!
