It’s Senior Portrait Season

It’s spring and that means graduations, open houses and excitement about plans this fall. For juniors who are graduating next year, this time of year means deciding on your senior portrait photographer!

The best time to be photographed for your senior portraits here in Michigan is this summer, BEFORE your senior year. Once school starts, it becomes super difficult to schedule sessions! Seniors are busy, and, since I photograph seniors on weekday evenings, there isn’t much time to prep after school and sports practice. So summer sessions are definitely the best!

I work with a small number of seniors each year (by choice), so we get to know each other very well during the next year.

We begin our relationship with a consultation in my Brighton Michigan studio to see if we’re a good fit. I have lots of products on hand so you can see the beautiful options for senior products.

We set up our shoot details – where we want to shoot the session, we talk about clothing, and set a date! I’m here every step of the way to lend guidance to moms and seniors about what photographs well, whether professional hair and make up make sense, and ways to build confidence before session day.

After the session you’ll come back to the studio to see the best images from your shoot and decide on products. This is such a fun meeting! Once the images and products are decided on (wall portrait and album in particular), I often work more with the mom at this point to make sure all the products work in the home and you have the right number of gift prints for your relatives. I not only love working with the seniors, but I ADORE working with the parents along the way, even in the spring as we design grad party invitations.

If you’d like to see if Angela Brown Photography is right for you, I invite you to schedule a meeting in my studio!

And, a big congratulations to this amazing group of seniors who are graduating this spring!
